West Ham Gas Works

A walk along the canal that borders the District Line from Upminster to Hammersmith, via West Ham and Mile End etc. It is the green line on the London Tube map.

I am not a clever photographer, but I love this picture - the old and the new, water and electricity and gas. Technology from a grassy bank.
