Carpenters Lane, Stratford.

Carpenters Lane is a short walk from the main Stratford Railway station. On the corner are an hotel and the Carpenters Arms is a short distance along the Lane.

It is a thoroughfare of second hand car dealerships, scrap yards and tyre repair centres.

You cannot miss the views, though, from six years before the Olympics.

This is looking away from the Stratford High Street, the Olympic zone will be over on the left. That is the Carpenter Arms, the low building; and a railway bridge is ahead of us.
